All My Children

Ack! WHY oh why is Ryan even at the Emma/Kate hearing? Every time he opened his mouth, I couldn't help thinking, "Why are you even there? Why are you allowed to speak?!"

That eyewitness is ridiculous, though... that the judge would be swayed simply by that eyewitness... I mean, how is there any proof that the baby that Annie gave birth to is the same baby that is now four years old? I guess it doesn't matter his reasoning, however, since he called Family & Child Services and sent them to investigate the whole thing.

One Life to Live

I don't know how much time is supposed to have passed but,... isn't it a bit soon to expect Natalie to be taking off her engagement ring and getting over John's death? For gosh sakes, if Viki is still wearing HER engagement & wedding ring to Ben and he's been dead forever, then it really doesn't seem like a big deal if Natalie isn't over John in like a week.

Also, while it definitely isn't a situation that anyone could ever get used to, Natalie has already thought to have lost a husband/mate so shouldn't she sort of know how to cope with it? She seems lost. I would think she might be like, "Wow, this is exactly what happened when I thought Cristian was dead."

That teacher BUGS me. He's cute and all but wow, what an ass.

GH

How about Sam dropping the bomb to Nikolas that Elizabeth might be carrying Jason's baby? Oops. Not that she cares, of course.

Today's show reminded me of how crowded the halls of Port Charles High are going to be in about 6 years - once they rapidly age all the infants currently on the scene. Let's see there is Spencer Cassidine, Baby Alcazar, Cameron Spencer (or is it Webber or Smith?), New Baby Spencer/Morgan, New Baby Spencer/Jones, Kristina Davis, Molly Lansing, Morgan Corinthos, ... And Michael, of course, but he is a little old for them. Plus, the only two girls so far are his relatives so he'll have to meet girls elsewhere.

OLTL

Marcie said, "I can't think of a better person to be Tommy's godmother." Well, umm, how about someone you like and who actually has spent some time around children? I mean, I get that they are reaching out to Natalie so she will always feel a member of their family but that statement was a bit much.

It was no surprise to me that they asked Rex - because Michael has no other friends!! When (if) John is revealed to be the man in the coma, will they take back that godfathership and give it to Michael?!!

GH

Just a question: Why does the ELQ-loving Dillon have to wear his glasses and look like a nerd? I mean, couldn't he spike his hair and wear his contacts when he's taking business classes?

Imagine how many people around the world must have gotten pregnant thanks to those faulty Enduro condoms if just in the Port Charles community alone we know of Lulu, Elizabeth & Maxie. Oh right, Elizabeth might have gotten pregnant from Lucky so Enduro wouldn't be to blame and Maxie might be faking the whole thing (but I guess that can't be the case with this lawsuit, right? The first thing the lawyers would do is make sure she is pregnant...)

Also, how great to see Skye!

GH

Maybe I heard incorrectly, but did Audrey tell Elizabeth that Lucky was home from rehab? Umm, didn't he just GO to rehab? I didn't think they would let them take a break or even make a phone call that quickly into one's recovery.

I love the bitchy Elizabeth scenes with Maxie. Elizabeth has become such a saint over the last few years (remember how snarky and rebellious she was when she first came to town?) that it's nice to see that she is indeed a real person with bitchy tendencies at times. Maxie deserves it, too.

What's up with this Lulu/Professor storyline? Whoa, wasn't it harsh for him to be all "So what?" about her abortion? A little sympathy would be nice. She didn't mention her brother the drug addict, her mother the crazy lady, her father who is always missing and the whole wacky Quartermaine clan she lives with. Maybe he would have been more understanding towards her then, ha ha. The professor is kind of hot, right, so is he being brought on for a student/teacher kind of relationship with Lulu? If not, why doesn't she introduce him to Elizabeth. They would make a hot couple. Also, I can think of a couple of really attractive females that unfortunately live with Robin and have no luck in the romance department that might like to date the hot young professor!

OLTL

I assume Erika Slezak is on some grand vacation or something, a la Tony Geary, but isn't it a little odd for Vicki to be missing when 1.) Jessica just got engaged and 2.) Natalie lost her boyfriend! Where's Momma when you need her?

AMC

Hmm, so Tad is the killer. Didn't really see that coming. I expected it to be a no-name that they could get write off. How the mighty have fallen! Turning Tad into a murderer?! Regardless of the reasoning, it's still pretty bad.

Greg Vaughn

Did anyone catch the commercial with Greg Vaughn in it that aired during the soaps? It probably has aired before but since I usually tape the soaps (and therefore fast-forward through commercials), I never noticed it. I think it was for I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. Anyway, he came on the screen and I was like, "Ugh. Like I'd buy anything you're trying to sell, you drug-addicted jerk!!" And then I thought, "Oh wait, I adore Greg Vaughn!! He just plays a hateful character on TV. In real life, he's adorable and sweet." I think it just goes to show how good a job he's doing on GH that I now have such disgust for him!

AMC

So, what do we think? Is Emma the lost child of Dixie & Tad or not? I know we are supposed to believe that is the case and I imagine we'll find out soon enough once David conducts his renegade DNA test but I don't know. It's awfully convenient how these soap families have their long lost children just happen to be living in the same town, what with Alexis-Sam on GH and Spencer-Paige-Hugh on OLTL. Coincidence or contrivance?

OLTL

Is John really dead? I find a hard time believing it but I don't know... I remember seeing something about there being trouble with Michael Easton's contract negotiations. Poor Natalie.

AMC

I really thought Colby would hide out in those tunnels without being found out a lot longer than she did. Now she has all sorts of family gossip! Will anyone even listen to her though?

Today's GH

I love love love Sam's dress - and she looks beautiful in it!

Lulu's words to Dillon echo my own: "If you want a baby so much, go have one with Georgie!" I mean, I just don't get why he is so adamant that the baby be born. It's not just that he is so pro-life (which is how Lucky seems), it's as if he actually wants to be a father already. He's so young; why would he want that?

Question - Does Luke even know about Lucky's drug problem? I'm assuming not but I wasn't sure.

Oh, one last thing. I'm thrilled that Jax is back. I can't even tell you how much I adore Carly & Jax together.

All My Children

I made a decision and I am so OVER All My Children. I have stopped taping it and therefore will basically stop watching it (although I'm sure I might still occasionally catch some of it on SoapNet every once in awhile) . I just noticed that basically for the last month or more, all I've been doing is fast-forwarding through every single storyline. I HATE the teen storylines with Colby and Sydney and the new Montgomery boy (whose name I haven't even bothered to learn!). I HATE the Lily-Terry storyline and that is clearly not going to end well. I would think Lily would be so untrusting of everyone that she would definitely not meet someone online and naively believe everything they say. I HATE the Kendall-Zach stuff, which ties in to the whole Who-Killed-Greg? storyline. I can't believe a murder mystery is not even appealing to me. Josh somewhat appeals to me but I definitely do NOT understand his attraction to Babe, nor do I find them to have any chemistry. Babe cheating on her husband (which I hear is what will happen) is believable, I guess, but I just don't like the Babe-Josh dynamic. I like the thought of Josh & Julia much better. Or Josh & Erin, even. Josh & Simone too. I HATE the Dixie-Tad hate. While I welcome the Let's-Find-Kate storyline, you and I both know the end to that is not coming soon.

So, all in all, as AMC bores me to death this summer, I have officially stopped even pretending to watch it. Thanks for reading my rant!

GH

The scenes with Luke & Lulu were really sweet. I loved them.

I really liked Alexis & Ric together and I just don't see how they can be redeemed at this point. They keep making Ric worse and worse. Surely Alexis will get better and then what?

Today's OLTL

Yay! Spencer is finally arrested. It seems like he's been doing dirty deeds for way too long to have gotten away with it all this time. Of course, why do I think it's going to be an even longer time before he actually pays for all his crimes?

Today's GH

Hmm, did you see Elizabeth's reaction when Lulu explained how the condoms were faulty. It was definitely a look of 'oops, that's the kind of condoms Jason & I used when we had our night of lust'. An Elizabeth-Jason baby? It would be gorgeous but the whole scenario is way too complicated. In other words, it's probably a done deal.

Today's OLTL

Wow, Paige looks really pretty with her hair all curly for the big formal gala shindig! I almost didn't recognize her!

Today's GH

Umm, is it just me or do you also have a feeling that Maxie is not going to take rejection well? I'm envisioning something like Fatal Attraction.
