Today's OLTL

Are they leading us to believe that Hugh is Paige & Spencer's son? Because I hope not. I know there was that one episode when Paige found out and she was like "Why, my son is standing right over there!" and Hugh, Nash & Rex were all standing there. I love the idea of either Rex or Nash being her son - and therefore a Buchanan presumably (see below) - but Hugh just annoys me. I hope they are just trying to give us a red herring... or at least make it more suspenseful, but I just don't like the options for Hugh. I find him kind of bland and boring. And, if he turns out to be the kid, I don't know, the implications aren't that grand. Only that he will likely have to prosecute his Dad - because Spencer's comeuppance is clearly going to happen soon. Right?

Now, maybe I'm making a leap, but Spencer has got to be a long-lost Buchanan right? There has to be no other explanation... the picture of Spencer & David's mother shoved in Asa's hand, the hatred of Asa, the torture of all the Buchanan men, the comments about making Asa pay, the attempts to destroy the entire family, etc... Therefore, whoever turns out to be Paige & Spencer's son is also a Buchanan.

Am I supposed to care about the riff between Jason & Sonny? Because I don't. And if I have to choose sides, I'm on Jason's side. Just because.

Today it kind of dawned on me (finally) why Sonny dating Jason's sister is such a bigger problem than Jason dating Sonny's sister... it's all about Sonny's manic depression, right? It's not so much that Jason fears for Emily's safety with mob-related stuff (although that does play a part), it's because he fears for her safety when Sonny is in the throes of his depression, right?

According to the preview, Robert's back tomorrow! Yay!

Who doesn't Evangeline have fantastic chemistry with? I mean, her & RJ were hot, back in the day. Then they brought her together with John and everyone instantly forgot about wanting John & Natalie to hook up (or at least they should have) because John & Evangeline were way hot! Now, let's talk about Evangeline & the Vega Brothers. Whenever she used to have scenes with Antonio, I was like, "Why doesn't he ditch that annoying Jessica and hook up with Evangeline?" They have good chemistry. Now, her & Cristian are pretty sizzling, too. Even Evangeline & Hugh would make a good couple. But, honestly, and I know this would NEVER happen, but the person on the Llanview scene who I really like Evangeline with best is Todd! Those scenes with him at Lion's Heart - my golly - those two would be WAY WAY hot together. Todd should get over that whiney Blair and hook up with Evangeline!

Today's GH

I am SO bummed about two things: that Jesse didn't make it and that Noah didn't get his liver. That officially means that the opportunity for Noah to say to Maxie something along the lines of "You're Jesse's girl" is over. I was so hoping for that comment.

Also, where the hell has Antonio been? I mean, did they ever explain what happened to him. It's very likely I fast-forwarded through the explanation months ago when he first disappeared but I didn't seem to catch an explanation now that he's back, either.

Obviously Dixie's baby didn't die, right? I mean, that would be too easy. I'm sure Dr. Madden took her daughter from her and it's living somewhere else. The "information" that Dixie needs from him is probably where Kate is...

Am I the only one who fast-forwards through the Sonny & Emily stuff? I guess I can see that they have chemistry but I'm just not interested. At all.

Sure, Sam's grieving but why again is everything Alexis' fault? Did anyone tell Sam that if Alexis had refused the antidote that it would have next gone to Danny? Because I didn't hear anyone say that... Also, if Sam and Danny were such super-duper close siblings, why was she perfectly fine to not be with him ever? While I get the drama that will ensue when Alexis & Sam find out about their relationship, I'm having a hard time getting why Sam blames Alexis for everything. Maybe it's just my tepid feelings for Sam that colors everything.

On a similar note, if Alexis knew she had another daughter out there, why not mention this and try to find her when Kristina was in such medical trouble? And, this just occurred to me but thank god baby Lila didn't survive... Alexis would have had a daughter and a granddaughter fathered by the same man!

J.R. is driving me insane with his craziness. How can Dixie watch him from the sidelines and not want to do something about him?

I can't even begin to tell you guys how much I HATE this latest Carly scheme. I mean, Courtney is her BEST friend - why is she trying to ruin her life? I get that Carly hates Jax and I get that Carly doesn't like Sam, either, and would want Courtney and Jason to get back together but scheming like this isn't going to do it. When Courtney finds out - and you know she will - Carly will have proven exactly why Jax doesn't like Courtney's friends. Ugh. It makes me crazy.

Also, I expected Carly to be trying to get even with Reese or Sonny - why did she suddenly come up with a plan to ruin Courtney?

On a side note, I'm still undecided about the new Maxie and I don't like her with Diego at all, but I CAN believe that the actresses who play Georgie & Maxie are sisters now. I never bought that when Robyn Richards played Maxie.

Friday's GH Soapbox

What a great brother fight. Anytime Jason is wounded in any capacity, I hope that it means the return of Jason Quartermaine. How awesome would it be to have him wake up on the floor of the Quartermaine mansion and be like, "Mom?" and have no recollection of who Sonny or Carly are. Of course, that clearly isn't going to happen since they showed the previews with AJ basically paralyzed or whatever and Jason standing over him healthy as an ox.

I'm not going to disagree that Evangeline needs some family members, but why all at once? I was a little annoyed with the "Let's Meet Cookie's Entire Family" storyline. And maybe they don't really like John because he comes off as kind of an ass. Maybe he should smile once in a while and be friendly to strangers...

I guess the big question today is: Is Jonathan telling the truth about Braden or is "Braden" some sort of alternate personality or something? For some reason, I think it's the former...

I know this is going to sound horrible at first, but as much as I would like Michael to really be dead (I can't stand that kid), I think it's pretty obvious where he is -with his real father! I mean, how brilliant is that? Don't forget Faith needed money to pull off this operation and AJ has all that Quartermaine cash. AJ conveniently just has everyone thinking that he died. This brilliant plan gives him revenge on Courtney, revenge on Jason, revenge on Sonny, revenge on Carly... I mean, it's perfect. It really is clever.

AJ can't really be dead, can he? Did we see a body? I admit I wasn't looking that closely. There has been no talk of someone going down to identify the body yet, either. I just can't believe they would bring AJ back for one day only to kill him. Also, I can't believe that someone like AJ wouldn't be scheming and figure out a way to have himself look like he was killed only to put Courtney in a compromising situation.

I really liked the scenes between Viki and Natalie... Viki saying she'd believe it if someone who looked like Ben showed up, even though she knows his heart is inside her...

How great was it to see AJ again? However, just to ask the obvious, if Courtney and AJ were never officially divorced, why would he not have brought this up when she married his brother, not now that she's marrying good guy Jax? Also, I must have missed the urgency with which the wedding date was set. Exactly when were they planning on getting married? And what's the hurry? I would love to see Courtney try to plan her dream wedding with pain-in-the-butt Jane Jax there in the way.

Yeah, Marian, Bianca is going to be thrilled when she comes home and finds psycho abuser Jonathan alone with Miranda. Good going...

Also, I'm glad Babe came forward with the DNA test. I couldn't quite understand why she pretended to not have it. Why not get Kevin out of the picture and then fight one-on-one with JR? What good would it be if the baby ended up staying in Llanview?

So I guess the thought never occurred to Sam that she should maybe stay with the man she loves and try to have a baby with him instead of trying to nab someone else's baby (hello, is this Pine Valley or Llanview? NO!). Could be the first clue that she isn't ready to be a mom yet...

Sad that Sonny and Carly are now officially over. Bittersweet, really, because I honestly like them so much better living separate lives.

I really hope Courtney stays with Jax. I love them together. It's a so-much-healthier relationship. I do NOT want her back with Jason. Jax and Courtney can be like the Frisco and Felicia of the 2000s.

I love that Elizabeth figured it out without Emily having to say it. I knew she would. She's not stupid.
